Privacy

What Nights collects, why, who processes it, how long it’s kept, and how to have it removed. This page reflects the product as built. It is not a substitute for legal review.

1What stays on your device

The Saved page remembers venues and events in your browser’s localStorage. Those records live only on the device you saved them on. Nights does not hold an account for you and never receives the saved list. Clearing site data for this domain removes them.

The Best next stop button on Find uses the browser’s geolocation permission to sort nearby venues. Your precise coordinates stay in the page’s memory for the lifetime of the tab. They are not sent to the server, not written to storage and not shared with any processor. Closing the tab drops them.

3Processors

Nights uses the following third-party services to receive or store the fields above.

  • Google (Gmail) — Delivers contact-form submissions to the ingestion desk inbox over SMTP. (United States (Google global infrastructure)).
  • GitHub (Contents API) — Persists a redacted-on-request row for each accepted correction in packages/ingestion/registry/editorial_queue.json. (United States).
  • Vercel — Hosts the Next app and retains short-lived request logs including the IP that reached the edge. (European Union (regional deployment) with US control plane).
4Asking for deletion

To have a contact submission removed, email antoni.wuczynski@gmail.com from the address on file, including the receipt id the contact form returned. The desk acknowledges the request within 7 days and completes it within 30 days: the editorial-queue row is redacted, the corresponding ingestion inbox thread is deleted, and the platform request log rolls over within 30 days on its own schedule.

To remove items stored only on your device, clear site data for this domain in your browser.

5Incidents

If a mishandling of the data above is suspected, the desk follows the checked-in apps/nights/docs/INCIDENT_PROCEDURE.md playbook: contain, contact the affected processor, assess whether notification is required and correct the policy or code that allowed the incident.
